Butterfly Effect

In the Fall of 2024, I started making daily mixed-media butterflies to honor our late daughter Bailey and this process became a daily practice during the long winter months in the first year without her. Butterflies are beautiful and fleeting like she was but they also represent immortality, the souls of the departed and reinvention across a myriad of cultures. You can read more about our journey on Substack.

Butterfly Effect

There’s also the Butterfly Effect — the notion that a small action can have an enormous impact further down the line. Isa Catto Studio donates 100% of butterfly sales to the Bailey Shaw '24 Memorial Scholarship to help students interested in the theater arts pay for college.
